For a photographer for a first birthday party?

$300ish is the average for kid events around our area (2-3 hours).

I would probably just take the pics myself. Maybe 200$ if I didn't want to, but hopefully all the pics would be included!

we didn't have it in the budget, it would have been about $250. we had a close family friend take pics instead and they came out great!

Ours were $200 and I felt it was money well spent. I'd probably pay up to $250/$300 if it included all the pics.

I charge $200-300/hour depending on the event. I think thats pretty standard.

My go-to photog is offering to do it for $150 for 2 hours and basically unlimited shots. I 'd own the digital images but no prints. I'm thinking it's a good deal...
ETA: she normally charges $200 but I'm a "frequent customer" and I give her good press! -
@travellingbee: I was going to say $150, that's what our photographer would have charged us if we wanted to do it. It wasn't in our budget but I think it's a cool thing!

@travellingbee: No. We have her 1yr photos the next weekend. So I am going to just give our camera to a family member to be in charge of taking pics.

@travellingbee: Sounds like a good deal to me! My photog charges 65$/hr with all print rights, so that's about what we'd pay! (and probably will pay, because I love her work!)
