some are amazing but serious, up to 25k for a playset?!?! insane to me.
I wouldn't want to spend more than $500 on an outdoor play set. My dad designed and built ours when we were kids, it's still sitting there! I'm sure DH will do that once we have a house with a yard.

We just ordered one from Sam's Club for $1300 as LOs first birthday present. We have a big yard and plan to have 4 kids, so we figured it will get a lot of use.

We just ordered one from Costco for $1000, it was originally $1300 but on sale last week. I feel like I got a major deal. I would love it if Hubs would make one but realistically he would say he would and then never follow through. I figure it's worth a little extra dough to just get. it. done. @AprilK: DH wanted to make ours too, but he priced it out and it actually ended up being cheaper to buy it pre made, even with the whole weekend he is going to have to spent assembling it!

@Mrs. Pen: I know! DH spent months searching for the best deal. We would have bought a smaller one, but it was only another couple hundred for this one that is much bigger so we figured why not?

DH is very handy so he will build one for us for a fraction of the cost.
Growing up we had a hugggee one that my dad built and I cherish those memories. My SIL bought one for her daughter and it was about 800? I think that is a pretty good deal!

Our yard is long and narrow, with a lot of tree, so a big playset won't work in our yard. We probably won't spend more than 400-500$ on one I grew up with this one:
So I want it for LO lol.... mostly because you can see our 'castle' entrance to the neighborhood from the backyard.

My dad always built us playhouses. They were incredible with running water, 2 floors, doorbells, a little garage, carpet, a garden. Oh I loved those! So hopefully I could convince him to make me one. Right now they are converting their dog run into a magic play land for grand kids. It's going to be so awesome!

I'd say 1,000-1,500. I wouldn't get it until we had more than 1 little one though. Not worth it for one. I'll take 1 kid to the park easily!
