I bought some lilies for Valentine's day, and many of them had not bloomed yet. The kids loved watching the buds bloom each day, and then they loved watching the petals fall off and the flowers die. It was such a teachable moment!
It also made me realize.... it was the first time we had fresh flowers in the house since they'd been born! 
How often do you buy fresh flowers?

Oh gawd, never. I wouldn't mind having them, but the effort of finding them (winter in MN...I think Target might have some carnations?) and then paying for them isn't worth it right now!

Never. Our cats eat them which both makes a mess and also makes me nervous trying to remember which kinds are poisonous and which are not.

Never. I pass them at Publix all the time and debate buying them but never do.

Never but I would love to buy them more. The few times I've received flowers my cats eat them, puke, eat them some more, and then puke some more. So not worth it.

Pretty much every time we have a party or house guests and several times a year just because. I love having fresh flowers in the house and all the grocery stores around here have them.

For a while I was buying roses every week! They make me so happy

Maybe once a month? I pick up a bunch while I'm grocery shopping and get them more often when I'm at the farmers market.

Almost weekly lately as our grocery store has $5 Friday bouquets. We planted hydrangea bushes so I cut those all last summer and we planted tulip bulbs in the fall so have high hopes for those this spring.

Hubby buys me flowers every once in a while. During the spring I like to pick flowers from my back yard.

Not very often at all. It is pretty sad too, my mother-in-law is a florist. She did send us flowers for our anniversary in December with a ribbon from our wedding attached.

I honestly can't even tell you the last time I bought them myself. Years and years. D brought me some roses for my birthday last year, that was the last time we had them in the house!
