I cut his fingernails maybe every 3-4 days and his toenails on a weekly basis. He likes to get into everything so I need to made sure his nails are trimmed so that they don't break.

Seems like all the time! Which actually means every 4 days or so. They are Sharp and he's in a grabby stage. If I'm not careful I have scratches all over.

@EmmeBaby: I have my LO watch this while I cut her nails. It takes me about 2.5 minutes.

@EmmeBaby: We use a cuticle clipper to cut his nails, I've found that to work the best for us. We usually cut them while he drinks a bottle (one parent feeds while the other clips).

@theknest: we use the same approach, but i am always the clipper. I think my DH is afraid he'll cut her.
I am convinced LO's toenails don't grow. I have only had to clip those twice in six months. Fingers are done at least twice a week.

@pipers mommy: Funny, I'm always the clipper too. DH tried once and then passed the clippers back - he said it's too stressful. Also, his toenails barely grow too, we've only done them a few times.

Every other day. They grow fast and get really sharp even if I file them.
