No moving that I was aware of as a kid. When I was 3 months old and my brother was 3 years old we moved into the house I grew up in. My parents didn't move out of that house until after I graduated from college. Right after college I did a fair amount of moving. Manhattan for a year, Hoboken for a year, an apt in Nashville for two years, and now we've been in our house for two years.

My parents moved into the house I grew up in when I was 3 months old, and they still live there now. I've lived in 3 places since then - four different dorm/apartments in college (but I'm counting that as one), one apartment with DH, and then our house we live in now.

I've moved so many times it's not even funny! (20+ times from 18-29) I hate moving!

DH and I talk about moving all the time, but I think we're going to stay put for at least 3 years.

@Mrs. Bee: I've moved a ton and I too am ready to find my forever home. We've found a property that we think could be our forever home, but the whole negotiation is going to involve the sale of two homes... So who knows!

i moved 3 times before i started first grade and then was in the same home for 12 years until i graduated from high school. i loved that. since then, my parents have moved 4 times, but the last 3 moves have all been in the same area and my sister and i have been out of school so it wasn't a big deal. we hope to move to a bigger place in the next 2 years or so, and i would love it to be our forever home...but, we'll see!

Growing up we moved once when I was 4. In college I had to move in and out of the dorms each year. Since college I have moved to a new apartment every 2 years on average. We're moving this weekend yet again... halfway across the country this time. We're hoping to move one more time in another year or two to a house of our own... and then to stay put for a very, very long time!

My parents are still in the house I was born in. I moved to college, and of course moved a few times there to dorm rooms and apts. Then I moved back home with my parents, then I met DH and moved in with him. Then we moved to our house we are in now, which we are hoping will be our forever home. I'm not big on moving.

I only moved twice from 0-5 years, then I stayed in the same house until I moved out at 19. Then moved twice while I was 20, and twice in the last two years.

I want to find a place we can rent for longer than a year but it hasn't worked out that way.
