I was sterilizing some new avent pacifiers and randomly decided to read all the info on the pack and it says replace after 4 weeks. I didnt know pacifiers only have a lifespan of 4 weeks? How often do you replace your pacifiers

We never got new ones either. I checked for any cracks but they held up the entire year that DD used a paci. We did have a lot of them so maybe they didn't get worn out.

LO used pacifiers for 4 months...I think I replaced after 2 months?

i thought it said to replace after 3 months. so far, haven't replaced any, but i guess i'll replace them when they change colors or cracks or what not.

I always thought it was after several months but these particular orthodontic pacifiers by avent are supposed to be replaced after 4 weeks. It says for safety and hygiene reasons.

@Mrsbells: Hmm... I call that a marketing ploy to make you buy more pacis! As long as they aren't cracked or deformed, and you clean them regularly, why would you need to replace them so quickly?

As long as ours aren't cracked, deformed, or broken in any other way, we replace them when we lose them.
