We cut back on ordering out and made other changes, and now I almost never get cash out of the bank... it was a real eye opener for me. Now I take cash out of the bank every other month or two...
How often do you take cash out of the bank?

Only time we have to is when we take our clothes to dry at the laundromat, (which we need coins for) otherwise we never do!

Every week to spend on coffee or little purchases under $20....I hate seeing little charges on my debit or credit card.

Once a month - DH and I each get a monthly allowance. Everything else is debit.

In the summer we would take cash out weekly to go shopping at our local farmer's market. Now we only take cash out once a month or so for the few occasions that require cash.

Never now. I used to get it for DS's scholastic order but now I can do that online.

Hardly ever. I hate going to the bank so I take out a few thousand at a time so I don't have to go back often.

Only when there's a garden show, outdoor farmer's market or flea market I want to go to. Probably about a handful of times a year.

Oh wow, hardly ever. Occasionally in the summer when we go up north (to buy pulltabs and cheap beers!), but that's about it.

Once a wk, usually I get cash back somewhere like the grocery store or target rather than going to the bank itself. Then once a month for rent, our LL likes money orders, I have no idea why, it's a pain in the ass & I refuse to carry that much cash so I make mr bird go in & buy the money order

Pretty much never! Only if we need something that absolutely can't be paid with a card. Like today we are getting some furniture delivered, so DH ran by the ATM to have cash to tip the guys bringing the furniture in.

We are the odd ones haha.... We take out cash for all of our spending (not including bills, which are paid out of our checking account electronically). We only need to withdraw money after we receive a paycheck though, so twice a month.

Once a week. Our cafeteria at work only takes cash, and I like eating there once a week.

I feel like it is all the time. So many places only take cash here, it drives me crazy. I wish I could just pay for everything with plastic.

Only when I am going somewhere that requires me to pay cash to park.

Almost never. Basically for vacations and if there is a special event I need parking money for. When we order takeout we use a credit card.

Literally never. I don't think I've ever used an ATM either except once when I was shopping and my favorite store's credit card swiper was down. I took my debit card to the ATM and got cash that way. We hardly visit the bank at all: we have direct deposit, direct payments to our cc every month and direct payments on our bills.

Ha, I did a few nights ago! We were at a bowling alley and the bar only took cash.

In the minority but prob once a week or so. I'd rather use it for small purchases or things like going to dinner w/friends - I find it easier.

@Mrs. Lion: Same here. Only 2x/mo when paychecks get deposited. Bills are electronically debited, but we use cash for groceries, dining out, and our own "fun money" for the month. Makes it easier to look in the wallet and be faced with the fact that we only have $30 for 10 more days in the dinner-out budget, so let's save it for a real date on the weekend rather than lazy order-in pizza. Using cash for that type of spending has helped us cut down A LOT and stick to our budget.

Once a week: quarters for laundry, and in the summer, cash for thr farmers' market.
