I only shampoo Olive twice a week (she's almost 6 months). But we do wash her hands and her butt with body wash/shampoo every day. Charlie gets way dirtier, so we shampoo him every 2-3 days depending on whether or not he sweats, and we use body wash on him every day (he has such big stinky poops!).
How often do you shampoo your LO and how old are they?

LO is almost 8 months and we wash her hair every day as part of her bath time routine. I might skip it today, actually, just because she's so cranky. Sometimes it's a pain but I worry if not doing it will mess up LO's expectation! LOL.

LO is almost 2 and I don't use shampoo. She has dry scalp so I rub baby oil on her head during bath time 2-3 times a week.

Cam is almost 3 months, I stopped using shampoo on his head since he got cradle cap every single time. It helps that he has almost no hair and doesn't get very dirty right now.
He gets a bath or shower every few days and I use the baby wash on his body.

Until LO turned 11 months, we only shampoo'd her hair once a week and would just wash her body with water. We used soap on her butt though. 
Now that she's 1 and gets super dirty after every meal I have to use shampoo on her daily.

We give him a bath every night before bed during which we use shampoo and baby wash. The bath is always super short (less than 5 min) because his skin can get pretty dry, especially in the winter.

every second day. I stopped giving him daily baths because of skin problems so i just wash his hair everytime he takes a bath.

@lemondrop: I'm just seeing this thread -- how did you get rid of the cradle cap? I was told (just by my sis) that I should shampoo him every day to get rid of it. I'm hesitant to do so!

our LO has baby acne/eczema combo so we're bathing him every other day, but we do wash his hair during each bath
also obxwife, we're battling cradle crap too. our ped told us to wash with unscented dove soap hair and body. we also use olive oil ahead of his bath and comb his scalp religiously. he's definitely been helping.

@obxwife: my doc said olive oil is better bc it's hypoallergenic whereas baby oil usually has a scent additive. just make sure it's extra virgin (well that's my preference at least

LO is 7.5 weeks and we shampoo 1-2x a week. I take him into the shower with me and soap him up there!

@obxwife: I just rinsed his head and waited for it to pass. My pediatrician said baby oil would make it look better, but it was really just a wait for it to pass thing.
@Clementine: I dunno, he might be even yummier if I use olive oil- I may not be able to resist nibbling on him

@sorrycharlie: I actually put him in his bouncer chair right outside the shower and I quickly wash myself, then I take him in with me and we wash him up. He loves the shower, he doesn't even seem to mind water on his head or eyes. We never even got a baby bathtub because I didn't see the point! Then when we get out, I wrap him in a towel and lay him on our bed while I quickly get dressed, then I dress him. It works for us
