I said other -
In the winter I wear them 3-4 times
In the summer I wear them once
I did read before that its fine to wear your bras a few times before washing but you are suppose to let it rest for 24 hours so the elastic has time to bounce back. So you wear bra A on Monday bra B on Tuesday and then Wed you can wear bra A again

I wear a lot of Coobie style bras so every time. Regular bras- every 3-4 times.

Err, probably not as often as I should. I have quite a few that I rotate between, though.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Def not as often as I should b/c it's annoying! I rotate and am not that sweaty so as long as they smell good I usually go probably 1-2 months between washing.
Now I wear Coobie for pregnancy and those I wash after 2-3 wears.

Hardly ever... plus they rarely get washed on purpose - usually my husband will gather all the laundry around our room and it will (accidentally) get thrown in there.
Don't judge.

Sometimes after a single wear in the summer. Usually I can wear between 3-5 times before I feel like they're "funky" (taking on cooking smells, sweat, some kind of mustiness?)..

Not all that often..if I get super sweaty then I'll wash it, other than that I probably do every couple weeks lol!
honeydew / 7091 posts
Not often, except when I'm pregnant. Then I feel like everything smells awful after one wear.
apricot / 347 posts
Rarely! DH makes fun of me for it, but they don't smell! Plus too many washes could wear them out, I feel. If they start to smell, I wash them. Not a day earlier.

Hand wash after 10-12 wears. I rotate between 5 bras. Every day I wear a new bra and try not to wear the same bra in a 3-4 day time frame.

During the summer I wash after a few uses, just due to that lovely boob sweat. If this was asked in winter, it would be walking itself to the washing machine

A lot more in the summer. And I can't be bothered to hand wash, so they go in a bra bag and I do line dry them.
nectarine / 2631 posts
Probably once a week- but I will wear 1 all week long- then wash it. More in the summer because I get sweaty. My husband just throws them in the washer and dryer- so its not like a take great care of them anyways!

If I get sweaty, I wash it. I have a ton of bras, because I'm a hoarder, and pretty small chested so I don't put them through much stress. So I have a lot on rotation. (Not all quality bras, a bunch of cheap and VS mostly.) Depending on the structure of the bra, I wash it either on regular or delicate, and hang to dry.

I wear my bras for a few days unless I get really sweaty in them then new bra manana. I wash all my worn bras once a week.

I'm happy to see I'm not alone
I'm not a super frequent washer... I only wear them at work. At home I wear nursing tanks and/or sports bras.
papaya / 10343 posts
Now I wash them after 2 wears because my boobs leak and I wear them 24/7 so I feel like more than 48 hrs in them is too much. Before I had boob issues I'd wash them maybe once every 2 weeks or so (I had 2-3 I'd rotate between). Although I also didn't wear a bra all that terribly much since I worked at home.

Well I only wear a bra when someone's coming over and my nursing tanks are dirty. I only have two nursing bras I really like so I wash them after two wears usually. I sweat a lot PP and get spit up on regularly so I have to. My regular bras before nursing went a long time without washing!

So I'm the only one who washes after every use b/c it's SOOOOO hot here in Asia and my bras are soaked (as if it just came out of the washer) after I get home from being out for just a couple of hours. I walked two blocks to my dog's vet's office this morning and came back with my bra about 30% wet. It's just so gross that I don't want to wear it again! Back in the states I'm probably in the 2-3 times or once a week category though.
I need to find some breathable, supportive, and wireless bras. Anyone know of a brand?

Nursing bras I usually wash after each use, max two if I need to do laundry. I leak and get spit up on so it seems gross to use again between washings. It's been so long since I've worn regular bras but I would wear them a few times.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I could say the same thing! I used to work at American Eagle, so I have a ton of bras that I've gotten on clearance. So I'm a bit of a hoarder but I wear 75% of them on a regular rotation. I'm, also, small chested so mine don't get real sweaty and if they do, I wash them.

I was just reading about how frequently to wash common things on Pinterest - bedding, jeans, bras, pillows, etc.
For bras it was a pretty long time in between washes, but to have a rotation so the elastic can re-shape over at least 24 hours.
It depends with mine- nursing, leaking, and spit up... washings happen much more frequently right now. Usually I'll wash after a good house cleaning or yard work (SO hot here and many projects around the house and yard), so I keep that in mind with my rotation.
@twodoghouse: I swear, E knows when I'm wearing a clean bra and takes such great joy in nailing it with spit up! Old bra- nope, no spit up, but he never misses christening a new one with curdled milk

Somewhere in between once a week and hardly ever. I wear nursing pads 24/7 so I reason that they can't be getting that funky

Sports bras : after one wear
Regular bras: when they get smelly. Maybe once a month? I have 5 bras I rotate and then I will wash them at the same time on a day I work at home
persimmon / 1177 posts
Regular bras (anything with a molded cup/padding) I wash maybe once a month.
Sports bras get washed after every wear if I work out in them.
apricot / 485 posts
Nursing bras (what I'm wearing now) I have to wash 1-2 times per week.
Regular bras...not very often. More in the summer (sweaty) and way less in the winter.

This thread has made me feel heaps better! I wash mine every couple of weeks and just assumed everyone else washed each use!
blogger / grapefruit / 4836 posts
I mostly wear sports bras these days...so I wash them either after a workout or after 3-4 wears. My regular bras almost never get washed...maybe once a month?

Yet again I'm answering after every wear, I cannot cope with the feeling of putting on worn/dirty clothes. Bleugh.
I wash every single piece of clothing after one wear, including towels after one shower. I don't have OCD or anything, I just like to have clean clothes.
I also wash DH clothes after one wear, it drives him mad. Haha
