1-2 times a year...I don't mind washing and putting back up -- it's the ironing that does me in!

You're supposed to wash your curtains!?!
I'm pretty sure it's been like 3 years, but we vacuumed them a few times in that time frame.

Our curtains are all about 2 years old, and haven't been washed yet.... yikes! I should put that on the list.

OMG. I wash mine monthly in the summer and ignore them in the winter because they're line dry only and I am too lazy to hang them anywhere but draped over chairs on my deck.
Allergies, people. Makes me clean!

Well....I've been in my house since 2007 (with the same curtains) and washed them....maybe once? Unless Febreeze counts. Then I've washed them dozens of times

I wash mine once per year, during the annual spring cleaning frenzy.
My inlaws have just had some work done in their house and my MIL was complaining about having the wash the curtains. It transpires, she bought them when my DH was 2 and she has never washed them!!! That's over 30 years people!!

I vacuum them regularly, but have never washed them. We moved into our house 2.5 years ago.

At least annually, usually in the spring after the season of open windows has passed. That way I wash off all the allergens that have collected while the weather was nice and the breeze brought it in.

Um...not nearly often enough.
I've lived there for 5 years and I think I've washed them once since they went up?

@PurplePumps: lol, right? I don't even wash them after I buy them. I put them up, wrinkles and all...

@mediagirl: LOL! I'm not *that* bad. =P I at least iron the wrinkles out...

I didn't used to, but I now wash them once a season when I switch our sets out!

We have never washed ours and have had them for 4 years... They are a really expensive material (given to us by Emily Henderson when she made over our living room for her show on HGTV) and I've been scared to machine wash them. I've been wanting to dry clean them, but I know it will cost a fortune and I just haven't brought myself to deal with it.

A really long time. I need to buy two new curtains for our living room because they have water stains from when the roof leaked a few years ago. The previous owners had similar stains on their curtains because of the same problem not dealt with until we did.
