I can go ~36 hours before things start looking ugly (alternating between morning and evening showers, but still showering and washing it every "day").
I have really fine, thin, straight hair.

I get my hair wet in the shower and put on conditioner every day, but only wash it every 3-4 days (ideally 3, but sometimes I forget which day I washed it last.) If I wash my hair more often, it gets really dry.

When I washed my hair daily, or every other day it got oilier quicker. Now, thanks to mother hood I wash it every 7-10 days... I do usually wear it up in a messy bun though so you can't really tell. If I were to wear it down I could get away with every 3-5 days easily w/ some dry shampoo.

Every other day. I wish I could go longer in between, I hate straightening my hair.

I know exactly how you feel. My hair is like yours, and very fine, too! What works for me is if I stay away from conditioner, it makes my hair more oily even though the outcome leads to having soft hair. If I need to, I will use a little leave-in conditioner to get rid of the tangle but that is it. I just stick with shampoo.

I'm blonde with blue eyes and fine, straight hair (although I have a ton of it). I wash mine 2-3x per week. It was oilier during pregnancy and I had to wash it every other day. It's actually healthier for your hair to put some space between washes, and if you don't strip it of its natural oils by washing it every day, your scalp will start to produce less oil and you should be able to go at least every other day between washes.

I wash mine about twice a week. I have fine, light brown hair. I always wash it after working out (which I haven't been doing much of lately!). It just doesn't need more than that...doesn't get oily quickly.
If you really don't want to wash, try a dry shampoo. It absorbs the oil.

Once a day. I used to wash it a lot less, but now I'm used to washing it everyday.
I have hip length brown hair.

I used to wash everyday but my hair was getting too dry. Since I'm still on mat leave, I decided to brave the grease and gave the no-poo method a try, washing my hair every 3-4 days with baking soda. It starts toget greasy by day 3 which I then put it up.
I have fine Asian hair.

@mrsjazz: i never participate for this reason too. My hair is permed (relaxed) but I only touch touch it up twice or 3 times a year so it tends to be afro on the bottom and straight on the ends. I wash it once a week and sometimes will skip shampoo and only use conditioner.
LO is half black, 1/4 asian and 1/4 white and I have no idea what I am supposed to do about washing her hair! Right now, I'm just doing the once a week thing but she barely has any hair so it doesn't really matter. No idea what to do as she gets older.

I have really thick hair that actually does better when I don't wash it every day. I started out washing it every other day and then every third day. I've been so sick with the pregnancy that I have to take super fast showers and it's gone to once or maybe twice a week if I'm lucky.

I voted most days, may skip here or there, but that's because I work from home. To be presentable in public, I need to shower in the AM. Or I am a greasy mess eventually. Granted I will go grocery shopping, etc, without washing my hair but... really don't care what Winn Dixie thinks of me
