We were doing pretty well on this front, but lately I've been using videos in the morning so I can get chores done while the kids are getting dressed! And now they're asking for videos more often... workin' on it.
How often do your kids ask to play games or watch a video?

Every morning she asks to watch TV (we don't allow it on weekdays in the morning). On the way home from school she demands it and it's up to my husband to say yes or no since I don't get home until about an hour after they do.

She knows that she gets to watch a show in the morning while I'm showering and getting breakfast ready, so she asks as soon as she wakes up. She just learned the word 'episode' - so if I say no, she asks for "Just. One. Episode!" She sometimes asks at night before bed, but lately she's been into her play kitchen instead, so that's a good distraction. We aren't into games yet.

No games yet, but Xander asks for his shows daily. We let him watch a show either right before or right after dinner. 30 minutes tops. On the weekends, he probably watches TV more often, but we try to keep it limited.
