We fly to visit my parents once a year, and my mom flies to visit us 3-4 times a year. I wish they lived closer, but they hate NY!
How often do you see your mom?

I see her a few times a week because we live close to each other.

My mom lives with us. She's watching my DD but plans on moving back to Korea next year.

I see her a few times a week & G stays over at her house at will. She's also my boss. Lol.

Lots she lives in town.
@banana: do you love it? I asked my mom to move in last year but she is afraid to cramp our style (whatever that means).

I haven't seen my mom since last February. We're just too far away and it's too expensive to travel back and forth. She's hoping she'll be able to visit sometime this year but nothing is set in stone.

My mom lives 20 minutes away and we see them every 2 weeks or so...

Only twice a year. It's a huge bummer. Since I found out I'm pregnant I've been having crazy urges to move back to my hometown to be close to my parents, something I never thought I'd even consider!

We live two miles away and she works across the street from our house. She's here almost every day. I go to her house much less frequently.

We see each other 1-2 times a week, usually I go over there but sometimes she comes over here.

My mom has come out to the city I live in 3x in the past 8 years. I try to go back home to visit once a year but its a 5 hr plane ride so its far
nectarine / 2163 posts
Maybe once every few months? We alternate between her coming down and us going up. It's a 7 hour drive/1 hour flight away

My mum lives a little over an hour away. I usually see her about once a week. Usually she comes here and we spend Sunday afternoons together.

Almost every day - my parents have a house that's a 5 minute drive from ours, though they don't live there permanently.

Not often enough 3-4 times/year. We talk a few times a week though!

At least weekly, sometimes more. She's off work right now because of a knee injury (awaiting surgery) so I see her quite often these days.

My mom lives 3 hours away. We got home at least once a month (DH and my families are in the same town) and they visit every few months. They want us to come home more often, but we have been trying to just do one weekend per month.

She has visited us once in the last two years and I have gone home three times... but things are changing, because we can't afford to go home very often with three soon to be four plane tickets to buy. it really sucks.

My mother lives about 4 hours away. And while she's my mom and I love her, she's not the easiest person to be around. I find that now that I'm expecting my first child, I am especially intolerant of her. Even just phone calls! I envy all of you women who have healthy mother/daughter relationships. To answer the question, I see my mom once or twice a year.

She lives About 5 min away, so we see her almost daily. DS, the furbabies and I usually hang out at my parents on days DH works.
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
We visit her in England once or twice a year... she never visits us and DH's mum has visited us once in three-and-a-half years.

My parents live minutes away, and I go to visit them once a week. My in-law's live about half an hour away, and we see them every other week, but we have to drive out to see them. They rarely come to visit us

I guess it depends on the year but usually 3 times? It is a 9 hour drive or an hour and a half flight. We talk about once a week and maybe text a few times, we aren't especially close but don't really have any issues either.

I see my mom..... At least 3 times a week but usually more.

We live in the same city and she probably visits me once a month and I visit her a couple times a month.
pomegranate / 3204 posts
3-4 x a week! We live 10 minutes away. I love having her so close! I couldn't even tell you how many times I've had to call her in an emergency situation and she comes right over! I love my mom!

I probably see her at least once a week, sometimes more. It just depends on the week. She only lives a couple of minutes away.

We see my parents maybe 4x a year? See the inlaws about the same.
We have a weekly skype date with my parents though.

We usually see each other 4 or 5 times a year. We live a 3 hour plane ride away from each other. I talk to at least one of my parents daily. Having a baby has made me very anxious to move back home ASAP.

This year I've made more of an effort to go see her, because of LO and because its easier on mat leave (she lives about an 8hr drive away). Usually it's once or twice a year, and she comes down once and I go up once. This year so far I've visited her 3 times although once was her coming right after LO was born.
pomelo / 5469 posts
We see each other maybe 4 times a year. We're pretty independent at the moment, but will be moving close to them before LO arrives. They don't know that yet, haha!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Once a quarter (every 3 months) when they drive down to visit us, which is a 3 hour drive.
