Around a year and a half as that's when he starting watching Daniel Tiger. And he only has eyes for that tiger.

Elmo around 2. We don't watch Sesame Street but Elmo is everywhere and they have Elmo books at daycare.

Same here, @Smurfette. Xander doesn't seem interested in TV so he doesn't know any characters yet!

Daniel!! Love at first sight. Don't remember exact age but definitely by the time she was 18m. She somehow also went into a Elmo phase just simply because of a puzzle we have. What IS it about Elmo?!

Around 2.5 for TV characters.
He loves characters in books too, he loves Curious George and Cat in the Hat.

The boys don't really care yet about watching TV, but they have started smiling and dancing to the theme song if we put on Daniel Tiger. It's pretty freakin' cute.

18 months old (really when she started watching) she loved MIckey Mouse and has now in her "old" age of 20 months loves princess Sophia, she dances anytime she's singing.

Not yet at 17 months. I'm actually *trying* to get her to like something! I've been pushing My Little Pony because I love them so much, but she's not too interested in more than 2 minutes of the show, and then doesn't care about them outside of that either.

Now, at 25 months, she is obsessed with Anna and Elsa, Daniel Tiger, and Bubble Guppies!

@autumnlove: @locavore_mama: OMG seriously what is up with the Elmo obsession?! We have one tiny book that has one picture of him in it. Then he saw a couple album covers with Elmo on Pandora. He connected the dots and now runs to find the book every time the Sesame Street songs come on. I hate Elmo's voice so badly! Kill me now.

He has liked mickey mouse for a few months but he isn't really interested in anything else yet at almost 18 months!

Around a year. She was obsessed with Elmo for awhile and right now she's going through a Hello Kitty phase. She liked the dolls before she even saw any videos.

He started getting excited about watching Daniel Tiger probably around 13-14 months? He loves his Daniel stuffed doll.

M has only been exposed to characters through books but around 17 months she started to be really into Elmo and the fish from One Fish Two Fish

She loves bubble guppies and gravitates to the books we have and singing "bub bub bub" when she saw the BG toothbrush my mom got.

B starting like Jake and the Neverland pirates and Mickey Mouse around 20 months. He loved pointing out characters at Disney World. Sometimes he just calls Mickey "the mouse."

Around 18-20 months he developed a love for Daniel Tiger, curious george and the minions from despicable me... oh and more recently he loves Elmo.

LO is 15 no and no clear interest yet. She loves TV but doesn't get to watch it unless grandma visits. Her favorite character book is an Elmo book but it also has a pop-up at the end so I think that's why she likes it.
