DH and I were talking about when LO will go to Mass for the first time and we are thinking 2-3 weeks. No one at our church is super pushy or anything, I doubt we'll have people trying to touch him. We really don't know many of the other parishioners so it'd be pretty odd if some stranger came up and tried to touch him. I plan to hold him the whole time anyway, I doubt I'll be getting down on the kneelers for awhile after a c section.

She was born on a Monday and we took her to church that following Sunday. So, six days!

We waited 2 months, but only because it was such a bad flu season. Nobody has really touched him, but people were happy to see him there. I would take a non flu season baby earlier, plus I won't be a nervous first time mom next time, haha.

we just took LO to mass for the 1st time @ 3.5 weeks. would've last week but Easter is always so crowded.
it went really well! we brought the carseat in and left him in until communion then my DH carried him. sometimes people bring strollers, so I'd probably do that if I went alone. we had a blanket for the top of the carseat bc the lights are so bright in there.
also....we specifically went on Sat. night to minimize stress. its a lot more laid back and there is more room to spread out vs. Sunday.
and... I also had a c and did not kneel. honestly, I could feel just the standing and sitting bothering my back and abs a bit.

We took her a day shy of 3 weeks for the first time. I was really nervous since she hates the car seat but she slept all through the extra loud Easter service. But I think the long car helped her fall asleep since we went to my parents church. We are going to wait till she cries less in the car seat before we go regularly.

2 weeks! He slept through the whole service in his carseat. It was actually much easier to take him to church then when he slept a lot than it is now that he's a curious 6 month old!

I'm Jewish... but we didn't go to temple until she was past 2 months. We didn't go anywhere with a crowd until she got her shots. I'm glad because all of the old ladies stick their face in hers and touch her hands and face. They do it to my baby niece now too.

Her baby naming at one week old, but I held her towards me the whole time and nobody could get close to her face. After that, 8 weeks, but we kept her in the carseat (and she was sleeping) so people largely left her alone.

5 days! I wore her in the k'tan, and it was a cinch. Now that she's 4 months it's actually a little trickier because she loves to "talk" aka shriek

6 days. We have a small congregation and everybody was so excited to see her that service started nearly 10 minutes late!

Exactly 1 week; born on a Sunday and attended for first time the following Sunday. I didn't put him in the nursery until after his shots at 8weeks though.

We didn't take her out of the house (except for ped's visits) until she was a month old. I think the first time we took her to church she was about 5 wks old?
