Either in a hotel, family member or friend's house, how old was your LO? DS is 3 months old and DH wants to spend the night at his parents house.

3 months old. With both children, around 3-4 months was when we went back to family for thanksgiving. It is our home also so not sure that counts.

@MusicaV: nope, not really. They were still young enough that to not be affected by the environment. There was a 3 hour time difference though but coming from west coast to east, we always just kept them on west coast time.

We did it right around 3 months, in a rental house in Lake Tahoe. It went fine actually. We had the Pack N Play, and we brought everything with us -- Sleep Sheep for white noise, baby monitor, swaddle blankets. She was a champ.

Away from home, at 15 months bc we had to evacuate due to a hurricane. We were at my in-laws and she slept in a pack and play, no issues.

Two more questions: how far in advance did you plan your trip? If you stayed with friends/family, what were the sleeping arrangements (where did you sleep, was LO in the same room)?

My parents live two hours away, and we go once or twice a month for the weekend. We probably took B when she was two or three weeks old, maybe.

We haven't slept anywhere else with her yet, but she has slept at my moms and sisters alone already.

3 months at my parents house. They slept really well at night but napped poorly because they were overstimulated. They slept in separate pack n plays in the same room with dh and I. It was only one night and planned way in advance.

3 weeks on a hotel while we moved and four weeks right now at Inlaws. We have a travel bassinet he's in on the floor and he's been pretty agreeable about it!

I think it was camping at 3 months in cabins. She did great, by that time she was sleeping through the night. She was so worn out by all the crazy activity during the day, night time was no big deal.

6 weeks.....or you might say it was actually at 5 days old, as we went back to the hospital for another few days to get rid of the jaundice

18 days due to the hurricane. We were displaced and LO has slept in 5 different houses since. He did fine. Didn't know a difference!

Six months old...we slept for two nights at my parents' house in the same room. He slept really well at night in the pack n play - we made sure to bring his white noise machine so he couldn't hear us when we came in later to go to bed. He didn't nap as well as he does at home, but at least the night time sleep was good!
