@mrs. wagon: I wonder if starting later reduces the amount of sickness...I hope so!

@autumnlove: well.. when wj started he was sick for like 6 months straight. But since then he's only gotten sick once or twice a year. Could just be his immune system is strong now. Not sure! But I'm def not looking forward to when lmw starts and all the sick days we'll have to take!

DD started at 20 weeks. Not sure when we'll enroll DS - we're thinking a little over a year old... maybe 14-15 months.

If all goes well and they have space for her, she'll be 19 months. But I'm thinking about starting her earlier if it's possible.

DS was 11 m, DD was 9 m. I was selfishly glad to be back at work (part time) both times!!

LO isn't in daycare, but big brother was 2.5 years old when he started (I started taking day classes for nursing school at this time).

15 weeks. She's 9 months now and she loves going to school.
@autumnlove: I think how much they get sick has a lot to do with what time of year they start. My friend's LO started in Oct at the beginning of cold season and was sick all the time. My LO started in March when cold season was slowing down and rarely got sick. Now she's starting to get frequent ear infections but they seem to be caused by teething as opposed to actually catching something at school.

@JoJoGirl: My LO started yesterday too! 12 and half weeks. How did it go for you guys? It was incredibly tough for me, but DD seemed none the worse for wear other than that she didn't nap.

@Revel: Only a half day, but it went great! She was SO HAPPY when I went to get her at lunch. We'll see how today goes. For some reason it wasn't that hard on me (#momfail).. I don't think I'm cut out to SAH. LO also didn't nap there, so we'll see how her night goes tonight...

@JoJoGirl: No, not mom fail! That just means you have a good set up in place. The toughest part was leaving her with what essentially feels like strangers at daycare. My mom is with her today and I feel tons better.

@Revel: Good point. I did feel much better about leaving her today for her first 'real' day after seeing how happy she was yesterday. And this place is amazing, they texted me photos of her all day and updates on her naps and eating... i think they only do that her first week, but it helped a ton!
Sorry to threadjack!
