Omg my sister is here "helping" and she's killing me.
She lived 38 years without ever burping a child.
She changed her first diaper back in August when we visited.
I did all of the above when I was 8 years old.

I think I was 12 - I babysat my 8 month old cousin on New Years Eve. Man, that was rough!

I was 31 - because it was last week!!!! I was visiting my best friend and she insisted I have a go, as I'm going to have to learn sooner or later. Winding is weird - I was literally hammering this poor child while holding him by his neck and still she was saying "pat him harder, you wont break him". It's official, I'm pathetic!

I first changed toddler diapers when I worked at a family resort when I was 20 and somehow had to show me how. First time I changed a baby diaper or burped a baby was my nephew, born when I was 30. I was too nervous to change him until he was a few months old though-- he seemed SO fragile. And they kept telling me to pat his back harder to burp him-- when he finally belched it really was satisfying!

Five! My mom said that I was basically my little brother's second "mom." I was only 5 and she would let me change his diaper and cart him all around the house!

My first time was for our LO, so I was 34. I was pretty much an only child and the youngest of all my cousins.

30 - my own kid! Seriously, as baby-crazy as I am, I never had to change one in my life (until LO showed up!)

You are super mom!! I was 30...with my own kid. HAHA! But none of these things are hard ... maybe it's harder when it's not your own child? I dunno. I have never done these things for anyone else. With my own kids, it just feels natural.

31 when I had DS. I'd never been around babies or newborns before him.
