I remember it very clearly! It was my 12th birthday and I pictured celebrating a birthday of my child one day. Then in high school I would daydream about having 10 kids.

I can't remember a time that I wasn't thinking about future kids. I distinctly remember trying to rig the LIFE board game in elementary school so I could have a crap ton of daughters.

I was 28. Before that I figured I'd probably have kids, but I didn't think I'd ever feel this intense NEED to have kids.

I remember wishing on stars for a real baby to take care of at like 6 years old. I've always known I wanted to be a mom!

I was adamant that I did not want kids until I hit 24. Something happened. Complete 180... I thought I was losing it

About 34. Before that I honestly felt too young, not ready, and that I would resent my kid(s). I'm very glad I waited--it was the right thing for me for sure; I had so much I wanted to get done first, and I did it all. Folks say "you never feel ready", but for me that wasn't true--at some point during my 34th year I realized I was finally ready to try at 35. I'm pregnant now!

Late-20s. Around the same time I seriously started thinking that my now-DH and I might get married.

When that second line appeared? Lol I honestly never spent much time thinking about it. Although I did have a moment when my husband gave me this diamond necklace for our first married Christmas where I sort of flashed forward to lending it to my daughter or granddaughter for her wedding some day.

I think I had thought about it as a kid and had names picked out lol then as a teenager I didn't want to be a mom at all. I held firm on that even until I got married... It was one of the biggest issues DH and I had when we were first married - we had never broached the kid topic!
