I was young, I don't remember it. I had older siblings so I probably caught it from them.

@Mrs.M57: Pox party...You know...When your parents take you over to someone's house whose kids have the chicken pox and make you play with them so you catch it, too.

2nd grade. Caught it from the boy I sat next to at school (and hated!) and brought it home to my siblings.

@Mrs. Bee: Oh, yeah, for sure. And even at that young age, I remember thinking, "What the heck! Why the heck did you bring me here!"

5. I loved getting school work at home and the cards from my classmates. I was the first of about half my kindergarten class to come down with it.

I got it on my 15th birthday! My two brothers, my mother and I all got it at the same time. It was kinda fun, we all just camped out on spare matresses in the living room and watched movies for a week. My mother ended up in hospital for a few days though, because she got them on her lungs. That was *not* fun.

Fairly young, probably in 1st or 2nd grade? Few of my classmates had it so I eventually contracted it. It was so darn itchy!! I have a few scars from scratching and picking my chicken pox then at the scab that formed. Gross I know.

I was 6. It was during the summer & my dad took me out to the beach because he had heard that salt water was good for chicken pox. It totally helped with the itching! I'll try to remember that when we have kids with pox.

I never got them... actually my brother didn't either even when my mom tried to "get it over with" by bringing me to my cousins house that had them. Years later I got the vaccine.

I was pretty young as I don't remember, thankfully! But I do have scars on my chest and face from them, so I know I for sure had them!
