I think I was 16? It seems so far away, I can't remember clearly!
How old were you when you got your driver's license?

18! I wanted to wait until I was a legal adult so that I didn't have to take and pay for behind the wheel training.

I was 16 1/2. I took driver's ed late, which delayed the whole process.

26. I'm 27 now.
I lived in a city with great public transit for most of my life. It's only when I moved in with my DH that I needed to learn to drive.

I got my beginners when I turned 16, took drivers training so I could get my stage 2 license 8 months later then full licence a year after that

I got my restricted license at 16. I took a course during spring break.
I don't think I finished all the exams until I was 21 or so.

16? I think there was a waiting period of a few months, but I don't remember exactly. All I know is that I should not have been driving. I was scary.

18. I just didn't bother til I got my first job.

I waited until I was 18. I probably would've waited longer but my little sister was turning 16 an getting hers.

I was 17. I had a boyfriend that drove me everywhere before that, but we split up and it lit a fire under me to get my license.

I was 19… I had no interest in getting it, but by 19 I needed to drive for practical reasons, like commuting to school!

@hilsy85: I'm with you, other than high school, I've barely driven a car. It has been almost two years since the last time I was behind the wheel!

16th birthday. They've since changed it to 16.5 or something.

16, I think it was a month or two before I turned 17. I was going into senior year of high school. I got my permit a week after tirning 16...I think. They've changed it now so I think you have to have your permit for a certain amount of time before getting a license.

@lamariniere: I am jealous! DH is always trying to get me to drive so I can practice. I am perfectly happy being chauffeured around everywhere!
