I was 5; I had to go in for surgery anyway so my mom asked them to pierce my ears when I was under as a special treat.

22 lol. I got my belly button pierced when I was 14.

Never! I think about doing it, but the fact that once you have holes in your body, you can't undo it (I know you can let them grow back shut, but you can still tell a hole was there) keeps scaring me off. My family would really know I've gone off the deep end if I got my ears pierced, lol.

10ish? My mom wouldn't let me get them some til she thought I was old enough to take care of them. Heh.

8 or 9 I think. We were on a family trip to Washington D.C. and I got it done at Claires. Hahahah.

My mother had her ears pierced as a child and didn't like that she didn't have the choice. So I do not have mine pierced.
I don't plan on piercing mine unless future DD wants to do hers. We'll make it a girl's day.

I don't remember the exact age but I was old enough to remember...maybe 4 or 5? I don't remember the actual piercing but I know it was an at-home job and they used string to keep the our piercings open. (My little sister and I got pierced at the same time).

@chopsuey119: I was also 13 and it was one of the most awfully embarassing experiences of my childhood. I cried in the middle of the mall at the Piercing Pagoda,. If and when I have a baby girl, I think I will pierce her ears when she's a baby. I love little girls in earrings!

@artbee: This is funny! I can't believe you went to a plastic surgeon! My brother-in-law is really funny about my neice getting her ears pierced. He is concerned about the wholes being perfectly even.

I was 5. I got my second holes in fourth grade, and third when I was 16.

3...I begged my mom to take me after my sister got hers at age 6. She finally gave in, I was a very persistent little girl!
