I was 19 when I moved out of my parent's house and never moved back. How old were you when you first moved out on your own?

I was 18 and moved for college. I still went home for summer breaks though.

17 when I left for college. I lasted about a month and a half at home when I graduated before I moved out for good.

I was 18 when I left for college and spent winter breaks and summer breaks at home. After I graduated I didn't move back home, rather moved to a new city for grad school. By the time I graduated from grad school, I was engaged, so I moved into a duplex alone and Hubs joined me once we were married.

I actually had an apartment on my own when I was a senior in high school. It was a series of random events that led to it, not anything negative with my family.

17 when I went to college, and I spent one summer and a few breaks back home.

19 for university but was back home with my parents in between. Then not completely until I was 25.

And funny story but my devoutly christian Grandmother told me that moving in with him "would really take the gloss off the ceremony"

I left for university when I was 18, but I had stints back at my parents house throughout university. Moved out for good when I graduated at 24.
