Did you receive a specific diagnosis?
Sorry if this is too personal. Trying to get an idea of the "IF History" thread in a different format.

I found out about our MFI when I was 27, I was 29 when my doctor first diagnosed with me possible PCOS and I'm now 30 and waiting on final test results.
ETA: I knew something wasn't right with me probably around 27/28

I always had an inkling I would have trouble due to endometriosis, but my issues were MTHFR. I was diagnosed after my second mc. I was 26, I think. My option's not listed...sometimes repeated loss isn't thought of IF

@blackbird: I was going to list it. Sadly, there was only room for 20 options...so I ran out of room.
ETA: There is an "other" category, though.

@FliegepilzHut: No biggie! i don't think it's very common compared to other factors and certainly not a predominant reason for IF! And even then...I am out of the category anyways now that I have E and #2 baking. But i know there are a few of us with MTHFR and MTHFR in general is pretty common!

I was 23 and DH was 30 when he got his IF diagnosis. It's genetic. I think it originated with DH or was passed from his dad. I don't think we'll ever know.
We had no clue. We had used protection prior to TTC and one of his ex girlfriends claimed she had gotten pregnant by him and miscarried twice.

@Leialou: ha wow, that's crazy about the ex-gf!
I was 29, almost 30 and DH was 30 when we first went to the RE and got 'diagnosed' as unexplained IF. I had no reason to think we would have issues TTC, but it was always this gut fear of mine.

I'm 29, and DH is 32. We are currently listed as unexplained infertility, though we are still in the beginning stages of some of our testing.

I was 27 when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I had long cycles and infrequent ovulation.
Before I started the pill (I started when I was 18) I had "normal" cycles so I guess I developed PCOS symptoms sometime during/after being on the pill.

I was 29 when I was diagnosed with PCOS, but I had issues with ovarian cysts in my teens.

I didn't feel like I had IF until my 2nd failed IUI with an unexplained diagnosis. I was 29. Since then I've switched clinics and now have a diagnosis of PCOS and DOR.
But I did get referred to the RE after 6 months of TTC and I was 28. DH was 29.
ETA: When we got referred to the RE, we thought it was a male factor. After being diagnosed, it turns out it was me, too.

i knew they suspected i had PCOS when i was much younger, my periods would disappear for many months at a time even as a teen, but i didn't go beyond treating anovulation until i was 29. in addition to my PCOS, i had repeat losses, a uterine septum (cause of repeat losses), and he had male factor IF.
so i guess i always knew it would be a challenge for me to conceive, i just didn't know all of the challenges until i was older

I always knew I would have trouble conceiving. I had one period at age 15 and that was it. I wouldn't have one unless I was on birth control. My mom struggled with infertility so to me it was kind of a normal idea, I knew I would need to get help and I knew there were several options for me to try. I just didn't know which one would work.
Over the years I have seen 4 different GYN's and 2 different RE's. They are split 50/50 on whether or not I have PCOS (even the RE's are split!).

@Shutterbug: yeah! We both had crazy exes before we met. It came out right before they broke up that she was on drugs. I believe she got some help and is happily married now.

I picked 34 because that's how old was husband was when we found out about his MF.

We still don't know for sure if they is anything more than male factor, so I voted 31, unexplained, male factor...

I was diagnosed with unexplained IF at 26, but I always knew it would be that way. My mother was barely able to conceive me, and never conceived again. My periods were never regular, so I just knew that I wouldn't have an easy road.

30 and unexplained. I never had any reason to think I would have trouble getting pregnant.

I don't exactly remember. I was 27 or 28 when we started trying. It was unexplained for a long time then they settled on diminished ovarian reserve. I didn't know for a long time that my grandma went into menopause at 35 and my mom before she turned 40. We had a miscarriage when I was 33, then I had my DD at 35. I had my DS at 38 and a miscarriage last year at 40.

I was 23 when I was diagnosed with PCOS. At 22, it was 'unexplained infertility'.

We had no issues getting pregnant at 34. At 36, I was diagnosed with DOR and DH now has low morphology and low/normal motility.
