I like names that have been popular at some point in the past so they are easy to recognize/spell (@laughlines you will understand what I mean from my real name in our FB group!) My husband had a super popular name so we have tried to avoid the top 200 names as a general rule but id be willing to break the rules for a name I really loved!

My brother is a Noah, he was born in 82 and never knew anyone with the same name but now shares him name with one of our friends kids.
My mother is a Jennifer, born in '51 and her name wasn't popular at the time either.I think the only sure bet is going with something you love

I grew up with so many Kimberly's. We had to use our last names all the time. It wasn't a huge deal, we just got use to it.
