I am going to be more mindful about putting toys up after LO masters them. Obviously not lovies or push toys, but like his basic stacker, soft blocks, and shape sorter, etc., all that stuff needs to be gone! He doesn't ever play with them anymore, so why do I still have them out? We have a more complex train stacker, some smaller blocks, and a few basic puzzles so really, there is no point.

I should add my son at 18 months very seldom sits down and just plays with a toy. He mostly bounces off the walls with various pieces of toy in his hands! He'll do the toy if I set it up and he's in the right mood, but if he is choosing to play with the toy, he rarely plays with them in the "right" way, even if he has the ability to play it correctly. So a lot of these toys go unnoticed.

I think soon we'll hit a plateau where he isn't moving past toys so quickly, and then this won't be an issue.
