After 4 days of solo parenting and staying up until 1am to wait for DH to come home, I am just done.
It's that kind of tired that no amount of coffee can fix; only sleep can fix this!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @mrsjyw: lol! You both are thinking the same thing:) PM coffees are tricky though because there is a point where it becomes too late and you don't find out until your head hits the pillow & you can't sleep

Definitely a PM coffee kind of day! The time change, plus no coffe this AM made me a grump! I never would have been able to enjoy the evening without my afternoon fix!

I've been in baby bliss for two weeks with my newborn but today I think I ran out of bliss. Just the newborn phase is starting to get to me. I had a few major cry sessions.

Well, today I put L down for his nap and sat down on my bed eating a pretzel because morning sickness was majorly kicking in. I woke up 3 hours later, pretzel still in my hand with a crabby baby rolling around. Whoops! I felt so bad.
@Danizaur: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! There were definitely times during the newborn phase where I went into the bathroom and turned on the fan and the shower so that I couldn't hear L's cries, and just sat there for like 10 minutes breathing in the steam and reading a book or something. Sounds weird, but when he was just really fussy and wouldn't stop crying, taking a few minutes to collect myself really helped.

@wonderstruck: Thanks. I'm feeling a bit better now. DH helps me out a lot. I started trying pumping today and it just overwhelmed me. Breastfeeding isn't going very smoothly...but LO is getting more than enough so I guess that's all that matters, but it's all that is going right. Lol. LO is fussy all the time if he's not asleep and everytime I try to console him and he looks at me and cries I just cry with him. It makes me sad to see him sad.

@singingbee: I have been alone since thurs too he's home now but he came home at 1am an left for work at 8am and came home at 7pm. So, no help from him although I know he's exhausted too.
@Danizaur: sounds about right. I had my first pp cry at 2 weeks too. I think it (the exhaustion) catches up with you around then.
@wonderstruck: lol! Sorry, that scene is hilarious and very realistic of motherhood.
@MrsRoo: I didn't have any this morning because I wanted to be able to sleep during lo's nap...buuuut I barely slept anyway. I tossed and turned. Shoulda had my coffee.
@mrs. wagon: is it 8pm yet?! I am counting the minutes.

I am SO tired today. No good reason for it. DD has been sleeping really well, but she sleep cries for a couple minutes around 4 am EVERY damn night and usually I just go back to sleep, but last night DH started tossing and turning so then I couldn't fall back to sleep and I've been exhausted and headachey all day. I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight!

@CupQuakeWalk: hugs solo parenting is so hard!
I'm pretty tired but I got a 15 minute cat nap in and drank a big cup of tea (2 bags) so I'm good for a few hours

15 hour work days Wed-Sat, up to drive DH and DD to airport for 7am morning of time change (sooo 4:10 alarm was really 3:10am). I didn't work today, finally got decent sleep last night, but know it will be a few days of recovery/catch up for sure.

@CupQuakeWalk: I hope you can catch up on your sleep ASAP!
I'm actually feeling pretty good. I took the day off because LO had a midday drs appt. We all got to 'sleep in' (6:30 instead of 4:45) so I'll take it!

Tired in the "I'm coming g down with a cold" sense. Plus we are looking at a house tomorrow so I'm already exhausted at the thought of moving, Lol. I give all you solo parenting bees SO SO SO much credit! Hugs to you all.

Things are finally getting good in our household! After dealing with the 4 month sleep regression for nearly 2.5 months, we are finally coming out the other side. We were down to one wake up last night & LO slept until 7 instead of 6! Once I catch up on SO MUCH missed sleep (seriously guys, I thought I was gonna die), I'm going to start attempting to wake up before her like I was doing before the dang regression. It's so nice to have those few minutes in the morning to get going....I really hope we're in the clear as far as sleep goes for a while!!

@CupQuakeWalk: I had to laugh too! It's a pretty good way of summing up what being pregnant when you already have a baby is like, haha. Luckily I know he wasn't too upset, if he was crying or yelling it would've woken me up. Is there anyone you can call to help out so you can squeeze in a good nap?

@wonderstruck: luckily, DH was home in time to do bedtime and now I'm in bed myself! I think 1 good night plus a cup of coffee in the am and I'll be reset and refreshed from the crazy 4-5 days I've just had

@CupQuakeWalk: it is so hard. We have a busy week at school, so there is no break there. I lay down in bed and next thing you know, she's crying or the alarm is going off. Sigh. Im pretty used to it since dh works out of town, but this week is just particularly hard.
