So L's cake smash is tomorrow and I'm excited to see her get all messy...but I'm wondering if anyone has successfully washed a tutu afterwards. Any tips?

Chloe has dress up clothes with tulle & I throw them in the washing machine and line dry.
Or you could hand wash!

Dd got her tutu absolutely destroyed after her cake smash, it just got thrown out. I only paid $12 for it though so I didn't mind.
Have fun!!

I don't have any tips, but that outfit is adorable! Mind sharing where you got it? Oh and happy birthday!

I think I might try the washer right after - it can't hurt to try! I'd be so happy if she could wear it to her bday party!
@ellewoods84: it's a Carter's outfit, I'm up in Canada

I'd put it in a pillowcase, tie it up and then put it in the washing machine. Line dry.

Lo was stripped down to a diaper cover. It was October and chilly, so we had the house a little warmer than usual.
That said, I'd probably wash it in a sweater bag on gentle and air dry.
