D has been doing great with solids lately and we're currently at 3 meals a day. He also takes 4-5 bottles, depending on when he wakes up. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but it feels like he's eating. All. Day. Long. It's fine when during the week because daycare has to deal with it, but at home it's like we're constantly rushing to get his next meal/bottle in.

Currently he gets bottles at approximately 7, 10:30, 1:30, 4, and 7. Solids at 9:30, 12:30, and 5:30. I have been spacing out the timing of eating because I thought he would need time between bottles and solids to get hungry again.

What I'm wondering is - is there a better way to do this? Should I be combining the 3 daytime bottles with his 3 solids meals? I've been afraid to do that because I figure if he finishes the bottle he'll be full and not eat anything else. Or is this normal? If so, how do I have him go from eating around the clock (at least during waking hours) to eventually just 3 meals with 1 or 2 snacks?
