LO is 2.5, rapidly approaching 3 and doesn't seem to do much independent play. He wants me to be right there with him, which I enjoy most of the time... But I'm wondering if there's any way to foster independent play? We got a few comments at our daycare conference about how LO seems to struggle with how to play. He will just kind of look through books or push cars around, but doesn't really engage in much pretend play yet.

Any ideas?
