is there a way to hide certain posts like Pregnancy, due dates, etc?

Yes! Go to your profile (by pressing your name in the top right corner) then click "Edit" near the top next to your profile picture, scroll down and press "CUSTOMIZE THE BOARDS SHOWN IN MY FRONT PAGE". Uncheck the boards you do not want to see.
