My daughter is 19 months old, an only child, in a daycare where she and the other kids are the same age (thus no exposure to older kids using a potty), and my husband and I have a very similar work schedule so rarely is one of us at home alone with her (and therefore there's little opportunity for her to see one of us using a bathroom). So this all means that a potty is a complete unknown to her.

She has zero readiness signs, so I'm not worried about training her right now, but I'd like to at least introduce the idea to her, since she's catching on to things so quickly right now. I'd love any tips folks may have for how to do this when she doesn't have any surrounding factors to make the connection or reinforcements for her? Videos? Buy a potty and teach her what it is? Something else? A few folks told me to let her observe me using the bathroom, but I'm not all that comfortable doing that (though maybe I need to get over it?) Would love folks' tips, thanks!
