Hellobee Boards

Well, my birthday was crap, but we've been snowed in all day today, church got canceled, so we've been home, Farmer Man has been giving the vacuum, helping me clean the house, etc. He even sliced up potatoes for amazing homemade French fries and has them in the oven right now (pretty much the only thing he knows how to make, lol). I've been snoozing front if the TV all afternoon and I should be doing something productive since DH is here to watch the kids, but I'm do tired and this feels so good, I'm inclined to stay on the couch for the rest of the evening. And I have high hopes that DH will have a snow day and be home tomorrow too. It would make up for his long hours on Saturday.

Wasnt the best. I was sick all day yesterday and DH was putting in a gas line for our new appliances so I had to take care of DS all day while sick and today DH is out riding (he asked to go before i was sick/for his birthday) so alone again and totally exhuasted. Going to the in laws tonight for dinner

Ok. I wrapped up the sales at our consignment sale (spent $160, sold $72).

It was terrible.

It was good! Yesterday we visited my in-laws, and today I had brunch with @Mrs. Bird and @MrsCB

I had the best two days with my girl! Yesterday we went shopping at a really nice mall in Boca Raton and she was SO GOOD, watching everyone and dozing in the UBV, and content to just suck on her bla bla dolls pigtails:). We even had lunch at a really nice restaurant, , just us girls:). Today we hung out all day running errands and she is just so funny and sweet and that little stinker has me so wrapped around her tiny little fingers!!!

Meh. No baby and starting to be miserable about it.

On the plus side, we had some great Nepalese food for lunch yesterday. And I went on a decluttering rampage today so our house looks great.

@Smurfette: The carseat still causes stress for us sometimes! In fact, the fact that she didnt cry in it this weekend is WHY we had such a good time! Like you, I'm constantly trying to figure out how to make car trips less disastrous and I figured out how to remove the insert thing that goes around her head and I think that helps! I don't think she feels as squished or as hot! The rear facing thing in the back seat of a car in FL means it's hard for her to get enough a/c to really cool her off even though I point all the vents toward her in the back. So fingers crossed that continues to help and wasn't just a fluke!

Tiring, but productive. We spent most of the weekend cleaning out our second bedroom to make room for baby stuff.

We donated about seven boxes of clothes, shoes, and books, and shredded eight grocery bags full of old receipts, pay stubs, bills, and banking statements. I felt like I should have been on an episode of TLC's "Hoarders: Buried Alive". The room is allllmooost empty, save for a guest bed that we're currently trying to pawn off.

We took ourselves out last night for appetizers, and listened to some live music. This evening, we had Sunday dinner with my parents at their place (baked ziti, yum, yum).

Time for "Game of Thrones" and an early bedtime; phew.
