So hubby has been involved in an annual poker league for several years. The league meets about once a month on a Saturday from Feb-Nov. Each event is anywhere from 4-7 hours (including driving time). So it basically takes up most of a Saturday. When me and hubby got together several years ago, I hated these poker events because we only had weekends together (we were living 1.5 hours apart for the few years of our relationship), but I just dealt with them. Right now, hubby works long hours running the family business - M-F he sees LO 30 minutes a day max and some days he doesn't see him at all. I work from home. The weekends are so precious to me - its our only time together as a family and my only time to have hubby around to help so I can relax a bit. He just informed me that the poker league starts tomorrow and I am just SO disappointed. Although I understand one's need to have some time to be independent, this poker schedule is just ridiculous to me!! He understands how I feel and I'm not sure how we are going to proceed with this, but I want to hear your perspective. If you were in these shoes, how would you feel?
