We have newish grass and it's not holding up lately...not dead, but a very light green color. I'm guessing the cold ruined any chance of it staying healthy but I hope it survives for the spring! Even my plants (also new) look dead. Our neighbors yards are thriving and their grass is really green. What the heck?!
Our yard in our old house was really easy to take care of. DH fertilized, mowed and watered - the grass was green all year. No problems there!

Ours looks awful. Too much cold air and water/snow. I guess we'll figure out the damage in the spring.

Um ours is horrible. We have weeds and neither of us have it high on our priority list lol.

It's winter here so dead! This coming spring is only our second here so we'll be paying a professional to come out to spray and fertilize to get us off to a good start. I need to start looking into that because we want something all spring and summer to control the bugs but will be pet and kid safe.
@HLK208: you should check the pH level of your soil! Ours was too acidic at our previous home and the grass was always dead looking no matter how much we fertilized and watered.

We don't have grass. It is all weeds but they are green so it looks like grass. Going to seed once it gets warm out.

LOL we bought a new construction house in November. The front yard has some basic landscaping, but the backyard is covered in hay.
We're getting bids for sod and a concrete pourer so that we can have a yard when the weather warms up!

@locavore_mama: us too! We found a company that uses an environmentally safe spray and it's only $9 a week which isn't bad considering we spend the same on fertilizer.
