I know HPT is not an accurate way of measuring how much HCG, but I tested last night and it was a dark line. I tested this morning with my first morning urine and I expected it to be darker than last night since it would have been more concentrated. However it was only about half as dark as last nights. I am 12DPO today. Anybody else go through this? Could this be leading to a chemical pregnancy?

FMU never gave me the darkest results. My darkest lines were in the afternoon.

Try not to get yourself upset over the darkness of the line. You could have had less pee on the stick, or the dye concentration could have just been different for that stick. Any number of things can affect the darkness. All that matters is that it's positive!

I liked to watch the little line getting darker and showing up quicker as I got more pregnant but I never tested from day to day, there's too many factors that could result in the line being different. First morning urine isn't necessarily going to give you the most concentrated hcg.

@highwire - I always thought FMU would be darkest. I guess not! I hope not!

@maysprout - I've been testing EVERYDAY! It got darker as each day went on but today was my first light and it doesnt help that my symptoms also went away... reading too much into it.. gotta stop... -
Mine did -- I tested at 10 dpo and it was really dark, and then at 11 dpo it was significantly lighter. And also 10 dpo was afternoon pee, 11 dpo was FMU. Don't worry!

@ladyfingers - so glad to hear someone who went through the same thing. I guess sometimes afternoon pee is more concentrated! =)

I guess maybe I was the crazy one, but I stopped testing after I did a digital test. Even if you miscarry you still will get positive HPT test results for a while. Its really not freaking out over! Start the mantra that today you are pregnant and you love your baby and go from there!

@thehistoryofus - I agree, I wish i can top torturing myself and let it be and soak in this happy time. But just like I couldn't wait until my 14DPO to test, I can't stop testing everyday~ Someone help me! =P
