Are you a fan of the books? Excited?
I'll be rereading the first book in the coming week to get prepared. I usually avoid the first few weeks for other fanbased movies (Harry Potter, Twilight)... but I don't know how I'll be able to wait that long with this one!
Maybe I'll make DH take me to an early morning showing

My best friend and I always do the Saturday morning matinee show after a Thursday night midnight release. Plenty of seats, and we don't have to wait weeks and weeks to get into a theater!
We did this for Harry Potter and are now ready for Hunger Games! Woo!

I can't wait for the movie! I read all the books in 3 days and am kind of obsessed with Hunger Games. I'll be almost 38wks when the movie comes out though. I hate opening weekend when I'm not pregnant, so I hope I can see it the week after, when the lines and crowds won't be so crazy. My friends are going to the midnight show on Thursday

I can't wait!!! We're going to go Sunday during matinee after it opens. I got my husband and bil to read the book, and they loved it as well. So we are all going to go.

So excited! I started reading the first book again a couple weeks ago. I need to continue reading it.
Here in Seattle, they just had a Hunger Games mall tour last week. I was considering going so I could see the cast but I knew it was going to be absolutely insane. I did see some pics from the event. It would have been cool to get an autographs from them. Oh, well.

I can't wait!!! I have watched all of the trailers a ridiculous amount of times in anticipation! My hubby and I are planning on going to the matinee on Sunday after it comes out, hopefully it won't be so busy!
I've read the books 3 times now because I'm so excited! ha I hope they don't change anything because I will not be a happy lady!

I am so excited about this movie! I probably won't see it utnil it's released on DVD but still, so exciting.
I wasn't sure about the book, the first 100ish pages, while well written, stressed me out! Then I became obessed and picked up the other 2.
Do you guys know if they're planning to make movies out of the other 2?

I am soooooooooo excited. I am going to drag DH with me even though he has not read the books yet. He'll watch anything, though, so he doesn't mind.

I LOVED the books, and can't wait for the movie. I'll probably wait it out a week. This will be the first movie I've seen in theaters since 2007!!! I feel like a teenager all over again. LOL

If we didn't have so many things going on this week and next week (meaning asking people to babysit Mavrick) we would of done a date night. Maybe we will go last week of March... but I am looking forward to it!

Oh my God, I'm so excited I can hardly breathe! I am planning on catching it on Tuesday in IMAX. I have been dreaming of this ever since the movie was first announced.

I'm super excited!!! My DH hasn't read the books so he's not as psyched to watch it as I am. I've been urging him to read the books before the movie comes out but he probably won't.

Soooooooo excited for this! I'm seeing it with my brother, best friend, and my hubby. Besides my husband, we've all read the books and can't wait! We'll be seeing at some point on that Saturday.

@BabyLove: Yes - Lionsgate has the rights to all three books to make film adaptations from them. Many of the stars are already signed up for all three movies. Catching Fire is scheduled to be released November 2013.

I couldn't stop talking about the book, so my husband is now reading it. He just finished the first one and is onto Catching Fire. Both of us are super excited for the movie. We usually avoid opening weekend with big releases like this, but we'll probably go during the week after the release.

I enjoyed the first book, the others were ok. I wish the writing had been better and the characters better developed. Having said that I am looking forward to the movies, hoping the medium might improve the execution for me. I thought the premis of the books was amazing.
