@SwanSong: hope all is well! I've had GI issues and it can be such a long recovery after infections, I know it can't be easy what you are all going through. Glad to hear you are all together again. ️

@Mrs.Pinecone316: again, Ive been MIA. Things are going great, the first week was tough since I had to help him shower, dress, change his wound dressings. But these past two weeks his improvement has been amazing, physically and mentally. he still has some abdominal pain from the scarring, but he is getting his strength back, he can do almost everything for himself now. He started back to work part time from home until mid March when he will return full time. I just cant believe how much he has improve since being home, I am really amazed at his strength.

@SwanSong: that's great to hear! Is he having physical therapy to help improve his strength? They can also work on scar massage.

@peaches1038: He was evaluated for PT but did not qualify so we are just going for walks and soon will have him start swimming to help build strength. We have another appointment with the surgeon he was referred to here on Thursday and I was going to ask about scar massage to help loosen his adhesions.

@SwanSong: wow, that's pretty surprising. Was it home PT or outpatient? Definitely ask about the scar massage, it should help the pain a lot. Sounds like he is in great hands with you. You're doing a great job being his advocate.

@peaches1038: I was surprised too, down the road we may look into a personal trainer who deals with medical issues if he needs it.
@azjax: Thanks you! It will be nice when this becomes a memory. I did book myself a nice spa day in March to pamper myself.
