I changed H on the rug in her nursery bc the changing table has been sending into fits of rage...I placed the boppy around her (sitting up bc she will topple over backwards) and went to throw the diaper away3 ft away...Well she took a dive and went face first forward..,.I tried to catch her and thought that my toes may have stopped her head from hitting the rug, but it was all so fast, I dont know...Either way, she cried really hard but I wasnt really worried bc it was on her rug on top of carpet. She wouldnt really stop fussing after a few mins so I put her on the boppy to nurse, and she didnt really latch and was still fussing so I switched sides and then I see this bump/knot on her head with a cut on it!!!

I have no idea how she could have gotten the bump although I was thinking maybe my toenail (which is long- it was my big toe that I thought shielded her fall.) I called the Ped on call and texted her photos and she said for me to just watch her and check on her every 2-3 hours...So now I'll be a nervous wreck!

H fell back last week and hit her head on the hardwood and I felt like dogshit about that, but she didnt have a bump. I really dont know how she ended up with this one...I feel like such an awful mom! When I bring her in for shots next week theyre probably going to have CPS question me or something:(

Please tell me bumps and cuts are a common thing once they're mobile???
