I know a lot of people love (or used to love) Winona Ryder... including Matt Damon and Johnny Depp. I never really got her appeal though...
Did you like Winona Ryder back in the day? Can you explain her magical appeal to me? I just don't get it!

I think back in the day, she always had that quirky girl appeal and chose some offbeat "cool" roles like "Heathers" and "Edward Scissorhands".
Like how Zooey Deschanel is now.

I LOVE Winona! (And Natalie too!) I think it's the sweet doe-eyed look they seem to have.
I didn't like her blonde in Edward Scissorhands but LOVE the Lydia look in Beetlejuice haha.

@rachiecakes: I don't get ZD either, lol! Don't get me wrong, I think they are both beautiful girls, but honestly, I know prettier girls IRL . . . and neither one of them has great acting chops (IMO).
