Ah....so relieved! I got a notice to appear and filled out a form to be excused (I'm the primary caretaker of my daughter...plus I will be 8 months preggo at my notice time!) and they excused me!

Nice! In MA they don't accept primary childcare giver as an excuse, you have to at least show up. I postponed until October so at least I'll be very visibly pregnant, but dh is taking the day off to watch our toddler.

@Ginabean3: I had the same happen when I was pregnant and primary caregiver of my toddler.
@Foodnerd81: I didn't even know primary caregiver was a plausible excuse in NY! Then found out some states provide childcare on site if you serve!

@regberadaisy: hmmm I can't say I'd trust the childcare they would provide. They do have a $50 per day payment for childcare if you are unemployed or something. Hopefully it doesn't come to that!

@regberadaisy: yeah I didn't think it was an excuse in CA until I looked it up! I knew they let breastfeeding moms postpone though!
