I agree 100%. Gap cash always end up being a PITA.

You can do multiple checkouts. That's what I do. And yeah ... I feel like they have gap cash available when they're about to change out clothes for the next season so a week later, they have new cute things so you always feel like you could have spent your money better otherwise.

ugh, that's so annoying. I was just looking at their site because I have gap cash too. Of course nothing is on sale now. Stupid gap cash.

I have never found gap cash to be worth it. I never like what's available when they run the promo and sizes are really limited. I've even ordered and then later get an email that my items aren't available in my size anymore - great, thanks! And it's for basics like jeans. I hate gap cash

Yeah i think gap cash is stupid. I would never pay that much for a coat wow! HVe you looked at thredup or eBay?

@mrskc: Yup - the cable knit sweater was a sale item! I didn't want to spend much more than the minimum $50.

@HLK208: What Rainbow Sprinkles said! They had some down puffer ones that were for elementary school aged kids and I want to say they were $50??? I would call and check before you go though.

Gap cash is starting to feel like a really crappy scam.

@night cheese: ON has great coats. That's where we always get ours. They outgrow them so fast anyway!

@HLK208: I was really surprised because I know they usually pull back on sales during Gap Cash. I even bought swim stuff in the next size up, lol.

I don't even try to get Gap Cash any more.. if you are able to wait until November, there is usually a huge outerwear sale then. I got my DD's puffy coat for really cheap last year (what size is your DD)?

@HLK208: Boo. That sucks. I've learned to pick and choose before, during, and after the Gap Cash stuff. You ARE actually allowed to mix the promo codes though, during GapCash.

I did 3 separate transactions, used 3 separate GapCash codes, and 3 different rewards certificates online this morning. Kind of a pain, but it also let me use the Free Shipping as long as you spend over $50 pre-tax, pre-GapCash & rewards. So I only spent ~$6 each transaction. Sucks on the Coat situation, but they'll probably come out with a new line right after GapCash ends and have like 30% or 40% off. I just use GapCash time to stock up on some basics, shoes (because those never go 1/2 off), and Sale stuff for next summer.

@blackbird: I agree! Check out a kids consignment like once upon a child.

We mostly just buy used, that's the only way I will buy pricey clothes like Gap. I plan on going to get LO1 a coat in a few weeks at the consignment store and they have all name brand coats around $15. She will only wear it to play in the snow so no need to spend too much
