I'm shopping for some cute sweatshirts for fall, but everything has a stupid zipper. I hate the way the rough edges of the zipper rub on his face and how the sweatshirt falls off his shoulders if its not zipped all the way up.
And every non zippered sweatshirt is a hoodie - cute, but I hate how the hood gets in the way in the carseat and I have to take them off for nap times.
Am I the only one hating on sweatshirt offerings? Give me some nice buttons or a crew neck!

Last winter we had a cowl neck fleece pull over from Gap. It was SOOO soft and I swear I would pay a million bucks for another in her size this winter.
It was perfect that I just pulled it over her head (wide neck opening) and it covered her up, all the way to her neck. Plus the hood didn't press against her in the car seat!

I love hooded!!! I never found them to be an issue with the car seat and I liked that her little bald head was covered.
I saw some crew neck sweatshirts at H&M! There's also some super cute ones at Gap I'm waiting to go on sale.

I hate hooded too, for 1000 reasons.
When my son was in baby sizes, he wore the reversible cardigans from the gap. Now we mostly do fleece jackets.

Totally agree with the hooded sweatshirt issue. We have to drive to get anywhere so we're always in and out of the carseat and hoods are SO annoying in the carseat!!
Best thing ever - I found M a used winter coat that has a removable hood on it. Perfect!

I lovvvve hoodies!! We just pull the hood up over his head in the car. I've never had issues with zippers irritating him either.
Plus, DH and LO have matching American Apparel ones and its sooooo cute when they wear them together!!

I love hoodies too. No issues with zippers or problems with the hood in the car seat.

@birdofafeather: Ahhh!! I love it! I wish I had seen that 5 minutes ago!! I just bought the Boden sweatshirt for TWICE the price -- and I NEVER buy anything unless it's on sale.... He'd better wear it every.single.day.
Maybe I can still justify that H&M one?

@Mrs. Tricycle: if you have something like that that you love and is neutral enough colors, you will definitely get plenty of wear out of it! We usually had one major sweatshirt or jacket that WJ would wear pretty much every time we left the house. Totally worth every penny because it was sturdy and well-made, and we loved the look of it. Better than 4-5 cheap things that fall apart and you hate!

@mrs. wagon: that's the plan. I love this sweatshirt and although I've only drooled over Boden before, I think their stuff is well made. It's gender neutral enough too, so I'm thinking a future daughter could rock it too.
