It's finally settling in. She's almost 8 months old but I'm finally realizing... I have a little girl!!

Pink is taking over our house and Wagon Jr. is thrilled-- his favorite color right now is "pank". Haha.

Everything was so gender neutral and boy in my life until now. I'm finding it difficult to really shop for girly things because I suppressed that so much! We're going to a wedding this Saturday and I have her dress and little bolero sweater hanging in our kitchen... I can't believe it, it's so freaking cute... and I was just browsing a deal site and clicked on a dollhouse. For whatever reason, we never considered a dollhouse type toy for Wagon Jr., and now I can't wait to buy her one. I'll probably wait until she's 2 or 3. But I can't wait to buy her a real dollhouse!!

TBH, when I first found out I was having a girl I panicked and freaked out a little! I have a difficult relationship with my mom, and well, I don't want that with my LO. And now, at 6 months, I am so so so in love with her. It really hit me last weekend when we were playing in the mirror together . . . BabyGloss is *my* girl! And the shopping, tutus, and frufru stuffs are just icing on the delicious girl cake!

ETA: Look at me now, posting about wings and tutus!

@MsLipGloss: DH had the same feelings when he found out we were having a boy. The only relationships he's had with the two males in his family were abusive ones and he was terrified. But DS & DH are best friends.
I love the tutu!

I'm so girly. DS is my shopping challenge, but I love dressing him so much.
I wonder if I'll ever have a baby girl.

@mrs.wagon: I know how you feel!!!! How funny that you posted this because just this morning, I was looking for something to wear in my closet while holding C and I was thinking "Don't worry girlfriend...I'll save all of the cute stuff just for you." And then I thought how fun it is to have a little girl! EEEEEK!!!

@MsLipGloss: I felt the EXACT same panic when we found out she was a girl! Since we already had a boy of course having a girl second is "ideal" for most people, and lovely for me, but I totally panicked. My relationship with my mom wasn't the best growing up either, and I grew up with all boys so I never had to worry about attention-- I was always the only girl around. AND I didn't really know how to bond with girls since I was the only girl. But I am so, so, so in love with her... I can't believe she is MINE. I think that's the big difference between the two kids... I feel a lot more "ownership" over her than Wagon Jr., if that makes sense. I guess because I feel like I'll understand her more than I'll understand a boy.

@rachiecakes: if/when you have a baby girl she will be the CUTEST little girl on the PLANET!! haha, J will have to grow up big and strong to protect her from all his friends trying to date her... heehee.

@autumnlove: OMG heart attack...!??! no no no we are DONE!!! heehee.

@banana: we've been saying that about LMW too...!! She keeps picking at my necklace and rings and I'm like "some day these diamonds will be yours..." eeeeee!!

@mrs. wagon: I am so possessive with my LO! Thank you for sharing that - it makes me feel better (, i.e., less craycray!). I also get uber pizzed when my MIL makes comments about how much BabyGloss looks like DH, because, HELLO, those are *MY eyes* you blind ninny! I digress . . .

ETA: @rachiecakes: I agree with @MrsWagon - if you have a little girl, she will be ridiculously adorable!

I love having a girl! I've never been a fan of pink but now it is everywhere in our house! I don't know if in her 11 weeks she has gone a single day without wearing at least a smidge of it because she has so much. I also love how protective of LO DH is. Plus, he is completely wrapped around her finger. Today he was running late for work and still stopped to smile and snuggle her before dashing out the door.

Pank. Love it.

The very first all-pink thing has entered our house - the FP doll carriage walker. OMG is it pink. It certainly is a transition to the way I think but now I am leaning more to wards pink because...well...she's a girl. She needs pink things.

Sometimes I pinch myself over having two girls! I still can't believe it sometimes. Girls are so fun and so sweet. And although they can be dramatic, it keeps getting more and more fun If I had a boy, I would worry about him feeling left out sometimes because the girls and I get along so well.
