It's open enrollment time and I declined the short term disability plan. That's a guarantee to get KU...no?

Pretty much. I was considering an Aflac plan for maternity coverage but I decided to decline it since we weren't going to try for 6 more months..got pregnant right after that.

I made my elections and didn't go with with the STD or the best health plan....like two weeks later I got a BFP! Luckily, my company just sent out a confirmation statement last week saying we have until the 20th to make corrections so I was able to get the STD and switch to the health plan with the lowest out of pocket maximum. It will save us thousands in the long run!

@babyjmama: Murphy's law, right?? But actually, as a Benefits Manager, I'm cringing that you declined short term disability! What happens if something happens to you (other than getting pregnant) and you have to be out of work? Are you ok living on just DH's salary? I'm always for signing up for short term and long term disability just in case you get hit by a bus tomorrow (God forbid).
