I'm so tired! Not only did i shovel our sidewalk, but our 80 year old neighbour's since he always shovels ours.
These are the days where i miss being pregnant. Is there a chore or something you got out of doing (guilt-free) because you were pregnant?
(btw, i only got out of shoveling because i had major back pain during my pregnancy, not because i'm a dainty girl)

I love snow! I probably wouldn't like it as much if we got it consistently though.
We moved when I was 38 weeks pregnant. It's too bad I couldn't help with moving heavy boxes/furniture and cleaning our new place. : )

I have hurt my back before travelling a few times. It really sucks in general, but one small perk was that DH had to lift ALL the suitcases. He is good about that anyway, but this time I could just stand there and wait for him to do things.
Also we only have one shovel, so he does the shoveling, but we live in an apartment building who hires someone to shovel sidewalks, so it's only his car he has to shovel out. I make coffee or hot chocolate.

@blackbird: Our neighbour ALWAYS shovels our sidewalk, even though he's so much older. It makes us feel so bad! Glad to hear you're still feeling great

@Rubies: Ugh, i would love 7 degrees right now. It's not that cold (-4) so the snow is really wet and heavy. Grr!

Whew! I hate shoveling, and since we got a snowblower, I haven't had to do it at all. DH is really good about doing all the snow removal for me!

@caffeinated: wow! So much snow! We rarely get snow - maybe twice a year? - and if we get a foot, it's basically a state of emergency with everything closed

We have to shovel sidewalks, but we pay someone to plow the driveway - it gets too overwhelming when it's lake effect storm after lake effect storm.
This is pretty much what it looks like December thru March in our neck of the woods.

@NerdBee: I took that picture in the early afternoon...there is sooo much more snow. It's very beautiful, i have to admit! If it wasn't so windy, i was going to bundle LO up in her bunting suit and take some pictures outside.
@Mrs. Lantern: It was a pretty good workout! Normally i'd be really tired but i think my arms have gotten stronger from lugging LO around all the time.
@MungBean: bahaha...nothing even gets cancelled with 1 ft of snow.
@Mrs. Tricycle: DH feels too guilty to hire someone to shovel the snow, though i'm sure what we get isn't as bad as you guys.

How did I not think about Prettybaby's first snow? Although last year we barely got any snow, I don't think we even had to shovel (how is that for a Canadian Winter)

holy cow! we only had 3.5 inches total last winter in Kansas. I'm moving further north to northern Iowa this December and not looking forward to snow again

Wow! I would not be able to live up there. I've definitely grown up with a Southern's approach to snow. "There's a chance of snow---go buy milk and bread and then stay home"! Meanwhile, the snow does nothing.........

@Jennimac: I was not very happy to move up here. It's my third winter here and it's getting only a teeny tiny bit better each year. Winter is 6 months here!! The snow does nothing except make everyone miserable...

@caffeinated: Oh my! I'm happy if I get a snow day or two. Then, I'm over it. I bet it's beautiful, but I do bet it's hard to get around in. My mindset is snow=do not go anywhere and stay home and watch movies.
