No nothing like hat happened to us, but our friends and family were really generous with shower gifts. And DHs old boss gave us 2 of her old swings. I'll definitely pass those on. My sister gets first dibs on hand me downs and I'd definitely pass down a ton of stuff to willing people when we are for sure done have LOs.

My SIL gave us a ton of clothes! My niece is 1 and they're not having any more kids (they went through several IVF treatments to get my niece) so she gave me all of her newborn through 6 month stuff. And a lot of it is stuff I bought for my niece, so I am totally getting my money back! It's all really cute and practical stuff, so we won't have to worry about buying clothes for a long time!

That's SO sweet! I had a friend give me a JJ Cold Bundle Me and a shopping cart cover... extra items that she couldn't return from her shower. I will for sure pass things along as LO outgrows stuff!

A lady at church who I barely know gave me all of her crib bedding last week. Really nice gesture (unfortunately, its a horrible pattern/colour, and the majority of it is these giant padded bumpers). But its the thought that counts. People are so generous!

I had a very big shower - I've hardly bought any clothes and DS is 10.5 months! I packed it all up and gave it to my best friend (with the swing, bouncy chair, exersaucer, bath tub, ect) - she's due April 10th...I asked her to try and give them back since we will probably have another soon and she was so thankful.
