Feeling a little sad this week. I love my job and am definitely not cut out to stay at home but I am struggling with how little time I get with our little man ! He's pushed his bedtime up a bit which is great but I miss that extra hour in the evenings !
Just a pity party !

I am going through the same thing, last week and this week even more. It totally sucks. She has pushed up her bedtime so we maybe get an hour together at night before we start bath and bed. Then this weekend we have her baptism so family in town, which means no one will let me hold her. Will say you see her all the time, we don't. It sucks. I have had tears all night tonight.

@coacheswife123: yeah it comes in waves for me, one week I'm fine then the next all I can think about is how much I'm missing out on. I was supposed to be a SAHM so I'm extra bitter lol!

I go back to work in a month and three days after 7 months of maternity leave. I know how lucky I am to have had all this time off, and I love my job, but I don't want to leave DS. I'm getting pangs just thinking about it.
Just think, ladies, working will make us more well-rounded moms! 
(at least that's what I tell myself)

@yellowbird: hmmm...I often wonder how I'd do with 4 10's....if I had a short commute I think I'd take it w/a 45 min commute? Heck no!

I had a 45 minute commute at my old job. Im home basically the same hours now, but I have an extra day off, totally worth it on fridays. The hardest part is watching my coworkers leave 2 hours before me. Ugh.

I'm right there with you. I'm lucky in that I work 8-4:30, so we usually have at least 3 solid hours before bathtime. I miss her so much during the day. I constantly have to remind myself that me working is good for her. I also struggle with day care in general - DH may start a new job soon that will require LO to be there from 7:45-4:45 and it makes me sad. Right now, she usually does 9:30-4:45.

I was feeling sad today because I feel like when I pick him up after work he always cries. then our evening together is mostly sleep, cry, eat, fuss, bath time, cry, eat, sleep. Yet everyone else says "oh he smiled/laughed/coo'd so much today, what a fun age!" And I feel like I missed it all

I know exactly how you ladies feel. I'm pretty confident that DS is doing just fine with the child care situation but I miss him terribly. I make everyone send me photos every day and I always watch a video or two of the little man. But it's hard.

I miss my baby all the time. Especially when my DH is texting me pics and videos all day. I have 40 min commute so I'm gone almost 11 hours M-F. It sucks. He's usually asleep when I leave and most of the time fussy and in a grumpy mood by the time I get home. We do dinner and hang for a little then it's time to start bedtime routine. It sucks. It's part of the reason I don't mind cosleeping. I get to snuggle with him all night.
