My MIL just called to let me know she and FIL will be coming to visit us. It was a total ambush as she didn't even tell DH they were planning on visiting. She called me directly and I felt so put on the spot. My day is officially ruined.

@katiew92081: About a month. I'm not sure if that's better or worse since now I have weeks of anticipation ahead of me. But if it were next week, I would be PISSED. Well I'm pissed either way.

I have this recurring nightmare that my MIL calls saying they are an hour away for a surprise visit.....hooray! I wake up in a cold sweat every time.

Crisis averted! DH called MIL and nicely reminded her that we would be seeing them at the end of April (at their home) so maybe having them visit later in the year would be better for everyone. Woohoo! Thanks for the support ladies : )
