I don't care how hideous they are. If I'm going to be spending the next 4+ years rocking babies, I need a chair that's actually comfortable for me to sleep in too!

We got a la-z-boy recliner when we bought our house this fall. It's comfy...even now at 8 months pregnant and I can't wait to rock our baby in it. I don't care if anyone thinks its ugly!

We didn't even look at gliders. I have a lazy boy recliner that I got for free from my bff's parents that rocked and I loved it! I spent many nights in that chair!

We didn't get a glider. We bought a Best recliner that rocks and swivels. I've slept in it often and we both love how comfortable it is for feeding and rocking LO.

Best Chairs are awesome! I love love big puffy heart love ours. It's this one: http://www.besthf.com/best/Storytime/Recliners/items/BENJI. Looking back, I'd have sprung for the power recline option, but we got ours as a floor model for way less than retail so I didn't have the choice...but even so, I don't think I could have survived the "fourth trimester" without it!

@jhd: Ditto! We're still using ours all the time at 21 months. I sleep in it often since our toddler decided that he needs us in there to fall asleep again after a wakeup.

We got our's at Costco 2 years ago for DH's recuperation after foot surgery. It was under $300 but it reclines, rocks, and swivels so we've kept it for baby. Its definitely bulkier than a typical nursery glider, but I think it will also be really comfy for DH to use when its his turn in the MOTN.
